Even though I have a few photo prompt lists printed out, I didn't really follow any of them this past week. So what did I capture with my DSLR?
Our next door neighbor has this bush that blooms at the beginning of February every year. It is always a welcome sight in the middle of winter.
I wasn't really sure what to take a photo of on this day, so I headed out to my backyard. On warm afternoons, I love sitting in my backyard to read. Those chairs that have been stacked up and unused during winter receive a lot of use when the weather is nice.
Since I have been doing a lot of decluttering, I realized I still have this stack of flannel to make into baby blankets. Hoping to make time to get these finished soon...
This past weekend, I headed up to one of my favorite places for the day...Yosemite! Since I was by myself, I had time to do some experimenting with different settings on my camera.
I usually don't have the opportunity to try out different things on my camera when I am out on a day trip with other people. And I have been wanting to experiment with some long exposure water shots. Today, since nobody was waiting on me, I had a chance to give it a try!
And because I had my tripod with me, I set it up on my way out of the park at this spot. I probably spent at least half an hour here, adjusting the white balance and using different shutter speeds. I could have shared many more photos with you from my day in Yosemite, but really, you just need to make a trip there. It is one of my most favorite places to spend the day.
Monday is a pretty busy day for me. Laundry, meal planning, vacuuming, groceries. Every now and then, I like to splurge on flowers for my home. What do you like to splurge on?
We are still having some cold mornings here, even though our day time temperatures have been in the low 70s. Still waiting for the bulbs in my backyard to bloom...
What have your captured with your camera this week?
